Thank you for your interest in becoming the new CEO of our wonderful charity, Momentum.
After 21 years since founding Momentum, our CEO, Bianca Effemey will be retiring from her role and we are now looking for the perfect individual to lead Momentum on its next stage.
Momentum believes that no family with a seriously ill child should have to cope alone. Our mission is to make a positive difference to families following their child’s diagnosis of cancer or a life-challenging condition, helping them to cope more easily whatever the outcome.
This starts with our NHS hospital partners whose paediatric clinical team refer families to our Family Support team who provide individual support and activities or our own respite breaks.
This year we anticipate helping 450 families in London, Surrey and Sussex with a personally tailored programme of support while hundreds more benefit from the support services we arrange on the children’s wards of our partner hospitals.
Our impact surveys show that 95% of parents and 80% of children believe our services made a positive difference. But it is perhaps the families own words that really show the impact:

We engage within communities, providing volunteering opportunities, visiting schools and supporting organisations and individuals to raise awareness and funds.
Fundraising is critical to Momentum as we are totally self-funded. We have a diverse source of donors from community fundraising, corporate donations and trusts. Our supporters range from local volunteers to high profile celebrities.
With a strong management team in place, a supportive, experienced Board of Trustees and a strong Balance sheet, we believe that we are in an excellent position for Momentum’s future.
