Welcome
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, it is my great pleasure to invite you to apply for the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Anne Frank Trust UK.
This is an incredibly exciting time for our organisation and, as we approach the centenary of Anne Frank’s birth in June 2029, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment.
In the UK, as across the globe, we have witnessed an alarming rise in hate crimes and discrimination including antisemitism and other forms of prejudice. This is a stark reminder that the lessons of the past must never be forgotten, and that the work of combating hatred and bigotry is sadly more urgent than ever.
Whilst the starting point of all our programmes is learning about Anne Frank, antisemitism and the Holocaust, our programmes are designed to educate our young participants to recognise and challenge all forms of prejudice. In 2024, notwithstanding an extraordinarily challenging environment, we reached over 126,000 young people. And, crucially, our impact on improving attitudes also rose, with at least 88.7% of our peer educator participants improving attitudes to at least one social group.
In the current world this impact data is truly remarkable, and we are committed to continuing this trajectory of growth and impact. We see the opportunity to broaden our influence and amplify our work in fighting prejudice, discrimination, and inequality.
We are a dedicated and passionate team, united in our mission to educate, empower, and inspire young people and communities to build a more inclusive and compassionate society, free from all forms of prejudice. The support we have received, including Her Majesty The Queen recently becoming our Royal Patron, reflects the importance and relevance of our work.
As we search for our new CEO, we are looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial, empathetic, and mission-driven leader who is values-led and able to inspire our team and other stakeholders. You must build and expand on our current successes, take on existing and develop new partnerships, have strong communication skills and drive forward the next chapter of our organisation. You will be the key to our future, leading us into the next phase of our development, guiding us as we mark the centenary of Anne Frank’s birth, and shaping the next generation of advocates for a more tolerant society.
We are excited about the possibility of you joining us on this important journey. The impact you could have on our organisation and the world is immeasurable, and we are eager to see how your leadership will help us realise our ambitious vision.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to lead the Anne Frank Trust into the future. We look forward to learning more about you.
