Thank you for your interest in Canopi Foundation. Canopi Foundation is comprised of two ‘charitable trading entities’ – Canopi and Education Saves Lives.
Canopi has been through a series of changes in the last few years, including a rebranding from CAN Mezzanine as we were once known, to Canopi. The aim of this new identity is to further our vision of acting as a supportive umbrella for the charity and social sector.
At one point we owned and leased a number of buildings across London to house charities and social sector organisations. We have streamlined this now to focus on a key flagship building, close to London Bridge Station, that will enable us to help the sector collaborate, regardless of whether they are a tenant or not. The new offices opened in November last year, and house approximately 50 social sector organisations, with a further 100 using us as their registered office and London drop-in. We provide office space, meeting facilities, collaboration areas, and a self-contained event space.
Our new Chief Executive will have the opportunity to build on the success of Canopi and help take it to the next phase by acting as an ambassador to increase our collaboration across the sector, identify ways to deepen our impact and help our sector thrive.
In addition, we have another, vital and impactful, charity, Education Saves Lives, which has been providing essential information about health and wellbeing for many years in low and middle income countries in local languages. This information is in the form of interactive lessons, on DVDs, USBs and online, that can be played to a wide variety of audiences. In 2024 we distributed just over 95,000 lessons, giving projected viewing figures of 19 million people.
Part of the next phase of Education Saves Lives’ journey is to review and refine the strategy for how we can accelerate the impact of the charity and use our amazing story to substantially increase our fund-raising activities.
