About us

As one of the biggest sports charities in the world, the Premier League Charitable Fund makes a difference to the lives of hundreds of thousands of people every year. Launched in 2010 to support the delivery of the Premier League Communities strategy, today the Premier League Charitable Fund distributes around £35million a year to professional football club community organisations (CCOs), from the Premier League and partners.

The charity uses Premier League and partner funding to develop programmes and provide support to 106 Club Community Organisations (CCOs) from the National League to the Premier League.

More than 2.5 million people have benefited from the Premier League Charitable Fund's events, festivals and national community and education programmes since 2010.  Find out more about the work of the Premier League Charitable Fund, through the voices of our participants and beneficiaries.

The charity aims to create positive and lasting sporting, social, health and education outcomes for a wide range of beneficiaries, especially children and young people. The Premier League Charitable Fund team supports and inspires impactful work via 92+ CCOs, including those in the Premier League and English Football League. In turn, their work directly benefits more than 500,000 individuals at thousands of community venues and schools each year.

CCOs are supported to deliver innovative programmes and quality services thanks to Premier League Charitable Fund investment in infrastructure and capability, training and advice.

The Premier League Charitable Fund monitors and reports on the overall impact of the charity's activity to demonstrate the value of football to communities and the value of the Premier League and partner investment.

Thanks to funding from the Premier League and partners, the charity has supported CCOs to deliver:

  • More than 2.6 million community and education sessions across almost 19,000 venues

  • That's more than 3.1 million hours of activity, including more than 1 million Premier League Kicks hours

  • More than 50 per cent of activity has taken place in the top 30 per cent most deprived communities in England and Wales

  • Funding supports CCOs to employ more than 6,200 people
